Medicare
Supplement plans can help members cover additional medical costs not reimbursed
through Medicare. Throughout the United States, Medicare Supplement coverage is
available in 10 standard plans. These four plans
provide a range of options from basic coverage as well as plans that include
prescription drug benefits:
1. Plan A provides coverage for basic
benefits.
2. Plan C adds coverage for skilled nursing,
deductibles and foreign travel emergency.
3. Plan F covers all that Plans A and C do
plus 100% of Part B Excess.
4. Plan I covers all that A, C and F do,
with the exception of the Part B deductible. Plus, Plan I adds coverage for
at-home recovery.
Reasons to
choose a Medicare Supplement plan:
Additional cost savings –
Medicare is not designed to pay 100% of a member's medical costs. The
charges Medicare doesn’t pay include deductibles, copayments, and
noncovered services such as routine check-ups.
Freedom of choice – The choice
of physicians and other health-care providers is up to the member.
Easy claims filing – Members'
health-care claims are submitted for you by participating providers, so
paperwork is hassle free.
Customer care – Members' needs
are our priority. We're happy to answer any questions or help sort out an
issue.
We are statewide – Our Medicare
Supplement plans are available throughout the state.
